Hallo, friends! Bonjour! Je suis delayed on these swatches, but only because my desk has been so overloaded that stuff got uh... missed. Today, swatches of the late summer additions to the core lineup of L’Oréal Vernis à L’Huile nail polishes! This addition brings the core collection up to a whopping 42 shades!
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile – Monsier Bleu 671 (above). Every single time I post on these beautiful polishes, people all over the world bombard me with questions about where they retail. So what did I do for all of you who need to know? I asked L’Oreal. The response? “They are available in Canada and in France, but unfortunately not in the US at this time.” I dunno about you, but that doesn’t totally discount the possibility of them landing Stateside, right? I mean, it could still happen!
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile – Madeline Sucre 118 (above). If you’re in the US and have a massive case of the #GrabbyHands, you gotta find yourself a special nail nerd friend who’ll pony up and be your mule! Ha! See what I did there? Or, I also hear eBay might be a handy source for these, too.
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile – Rue Crémieux 221 (above). But we should really talk about how outstanding these polishes are: they’re outstanding. I’ve marvelled over them before but if you missed it, I really, really, really think they’re splendid. The formulas are crazy dreamy, the application is insanely easy, and the finish is a beautiful high shine every.single.time.
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile - L'Orangerie 443 (above). Yeah, I didn’t even mention the pretty cut glass bottles or the “three-double-squared-stem” paddle brushes… I love those too!
It’s such a pleasure to polish with these that whenever I find them on my desk, I smile. You know how when you sit down to paint and it’s that time you get to relax and do something really enjoyable? The time everything weighty somehow just disappears for a little while? These are the bottles that give you that. Or maybe they give just me that.
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile - Je T'aime 227 (above).I should also tell you that for me, the only downside to these phenomenal polishes is they’re scented – makes eating chicken wings later kind of a weird experience. But if you’re not as sensitive to smells as I am, you’re SO not going to care.
L'Oreal Vernis à L'Huile - L'Atelier Choco 667 (above). And you know what? Some days, I just plan my dinner menu around the polish. Oh, L’Oreal Vernis a L’Huile today? Yeah, we’ll be having knife & fork food for dinner – no wings, no ribs, no tacos, no king crab, pizza, or sammiches. What does that leave? Ewwww! Salad! Hahahahaaa!!
L'Oreal Paris Colour Riche - Heart of Glass (above). That’s it for me kids! Oh! Oh! Before I go, let me leave this picture here for you! It’s the one of the Colour Riche Press-On Nail designs that Tom Bachik did! You know, Tom Bachik? The Tommy B who is now a blonde and with OPI? Yeah! Him!
And I’m totally gonna leave you this picture from when I photobombed his ass at last year’s launch of the magnificent L’Oreal Vernis a L’Huile.
Durr. I forgot. Here's where you can get your bottles of happy: amazon.ca or mass-market retailers 'n drugstores across 🇨🇦Canada.
