Hiya fellow nail friends! Today, the CND Vinylux Nightspell Fall 2017 collection swatches – and obviously you don't have to be all about moonlight dances to get grabby hands over one or more of these polishes.
cnd nightspell fall 2017 swatches & review
CND Vinylux Lilac Eclipse – Fall 2017 (above). Unnnh. Beauty in 2 phenomenally easy coats. And I tell ya what, I love her. She reminds me a lot of OPI’s Parlez-Vous OPI and that’s because she’s sorta similar. Lilac Eclipse is lighter though, by a bunch.
She also dries down darker than what you see in my swatch; if you’re looking for a splendid dusty shade of lilac, this might just be it!
CND Vinylux Veridian Veil – Fall 2017 (above). Almost chrome and definitely icy cool, you could probably get away with one generous coat. I did 2 though because I needed maximum saturation. There are light frosty streaks that don’t dry down all the way but they add that cool, almost chromey sorta feel to this chilly Autumn turquoise.
CND Vinylux Eternal Midnight – Fall 2017 (above). That’s 2 coats, and on the first you going to think it just looks like severe bruising. Keep going. Trust me. On the second coat, you’ll get what I got here. It’s a plummy-grape almost jelly with super blue shimmers. It’s full of moody mystery and depth. You’ll want to slap on some of that Vinylux Weekly Wear Top too – it brings out the shimmerz!
CND Vinylux Berry Boudoir – Fall 2017 (above). Standard, right? But standard with a hugely easy-to-work formula. If you’ve been looking for a shade like this and don’t yet have one, I suggest this one. It’s wickedly easy to apply (2 coats) and dries down with massive shine.
CND Vinylux Mercurial – Fall 2017 (above). Ya’ll know I love a foil – falling for this one is a no-brainer. It’s a pewtery silver metallic that makes me smile. It’s blingy, but not over-the-top, you know what I mean? It’s just got that cool metal look that I really dig. Oh! And it’s 2 coats there, with no top.
CND Vinylux Hypnotic Dreams over Berry Boudoir – Fall 2017 (above). And finally, Hypnotic Dreams. It’s a hugely sheer thing stuffed with multi-shifting micro flakies that give it big multichrome properties. Depending on what you use it over, you can get green or gold or bronze or a rose or… You get the idea, yes? You can try building it, alone but I wouldn’t recommend it. Use it as a top coat to get a much more interesting result.
And that’s it! Fall 2017 Vinylux! I liked it all. Most if it is stuff that I’ve seen before, but then again, me ‘n polish have a long history.
If you’re newer to the world of polish and haven’t seen these kinds of shades yet, they’d all be superb additions to your Archives. Vinylux is a solid, reliable product. The brushes are evenly cut, their formulas are easy to apply, and when used in conjunction with their Weekly Wear Top Coat, some people can get up to 7 days of wear out of a single mani.
Manicures & photos Karen Falcon (her dude busted his clavicle into 5 bits so she’s been kinda sporadic of late and will probably continue to be sporadic for at least a couple more weeks).
