Yes! Here we are, together again! You may not know this but it brings a smile to my face that you’re here to hang out for a tiny part of your day with me. Today it’s the second installment (of four) of the CND Creative Play nail polish swatches. It’ll be this:
The letter codes in brackets denote the finish and I’ve slapped those codes in with the short application descriptors. Oh! And I’m still waiting for my bottle of I Blanked Out to show up so that one is missing. Boooooo.

I first showed you the CND Creative Play line with the official press release here. Then there was the first-of-four swatch posts here. I won’t bore you by repeating all those details, but those are the links if you need ‘em. Today, just 20 more swatches with short notes on application. Enjoy!
CND Creative Play Drop Anchor! (above). Crème. That’s two coats and one great formula!
CND Creative Play Flash-ion Forward over Skinny Jeans (above). Holographic Glitter. One coat of sparkles over two coats of Skinny Jeans.
CND Flash-ion Forward over Steel the Show (above). One coat of glitter over two coats of Steel the Show. Two glitter coats might have been better, yes?
CND Creative Play Flirting With Fire (above). Pearl (but I'd totally call it shimmer). You can definitely OCW this, but I always like to do two. Two helps with sticky-ness – gives your mani staying power.
CND Creative Play Gilty or Innocent (above). Metallic Glitter. She’s a sheer golden yellow that took me three coats to get almost opaque.
CND Gilty or Innocent over Persimmon-ality (above). Yeah! Lookit that firey orange I made with one coat of Gilty or Innocent over two coats of Persimmon-ality.
CND Creative Play Glittabulous over Taxi, Please (above). Multi-colour Glitter. That’s one coat of glitter over two coats of Taxi, Please. This reminds me of Confetti Mode in Halo. I just nailed a grunt in the head! Know what I mean? Huh?
CND Glittabulous over Toe the Lime (above). Again, a single coat of glitterz. It’s a pretty big bang for your buck.
CND Creative Play Got a Light over Iris You Would (above). Holographic Glitter. One coat over a couple coats of Iris You Would. Should have used more but if I show you one coat, then you get a sense of what two or three would look like, right?
CND Got a Light over Read My Tulips (above). One coat over two coats of Read My Tulips. Skimpy payoff with this one.
CND Creative Play Head over Teal (above). Crème. That’s two coats and it really does look like that. It’s a beauty of a teal – and if you’re going to use it, use a base coat. Trust me.
CND Creative Play Hottie Tomattie (above). Crème. Two coats and when I look right at it in real life, it reminds me of tomato soup straight from the can. For real.
CND Creative Play I Like to Mauve It (above). Shimmer. There’s a hugely sophisticated stealth shimmer in here and if you’re running out the door, you can totally OCW this shade. As always, two is always better so that’s what you see in the swatch pic – two.
CND Creative Play Iris You Would (above). Crème. She’s got an ultrafine shimmer that’s pretty well invisible. And how many coats? Uh.. some fingers have two and other fingers have three. *shrug*
CND Creative Play Isle Never Let You Go over un-named white (above). Pearl. That’s two coats of the sheer, pale blue over an opaque white and the flecky bits in the bottle really don’t come out to play even with two coats. This shade is weird. Because it’s milky-tinted, it’s really not as good over darks as it is over lights. But it’s still weird. To build to the bottle shade, you definitely need white undies.
CND Creative Play Isn’t She Grape? (above). Crème. The formula on this one is bang on. Two smashingly easy coats.
CND Creative Play Jammin’ Salmon (above). Crème. Three coats. I don’t like to do three coats. But it’s pretty in an almost crelly sort of way.
CND Creative Play Kiss + Teal over Drop Anchor! (above). Metallic Glitter. One coat of fun sparkly glitter over Drop Anchor!
CND Creative Play Let’s Go Antiquing (above). Metallic. I thought this might be a muted brushed gold OCW but it is not. That’s two coats and the streaks do dry down some to tolerable.
CND Creative Play Life’s a Cupcake (above). Crème. This puppy, while pretty, is patchy in two coats, do I did three. I like these pinky whites, especially for summer.
CND Creative Play LMAO! Over Hottie Tomattie (above). Transformer. One coat of shimmery sheer sparkles over two coats of Hottie Tomattie. I heart this.
CND LMAO! Over Well Red (above). And again, that’s one coat of pinky-bluey shimmer over two coats of Well Red. LMAO! is great as a topper!
CND Creative Play Lost In Spice (above). Pearl. Notes on this say “two coats. Big love. Firey undershimmer and no top coat on there! Whaaat?” I think I might really, really like this one. A lot.
CND Creative Play Love It or Leaf It (above). Shimmer. Wowza! That’s two coats of a golden shimmer leaf green. It’s good. Should have used three, though – I see that now, but hey, too late!
And there y’are friends! Another whack of swatches that I hope didn’t make you go blind. If you’re looking for information on this line of polish, please enjoy these handy web-jumping links:
