The Nars x Steven Klein Holiday 2015 Collection of limited edition polish is pure beauty – brooding, fantastical, and fairly stuffed with mystery. A little ways outside the traditional holiday box of sparkly shiny glittery things, I'm head over heels in #GrabbyHands for it.
nars x steven klein holiday 2015 swatches & review
That's Nars Black Fire (above) in two dreamy coats. It's stuffed with shiny flecks that are somewhat subdued by the divine satin-gloss finish. I mean it's shiny, but not crazy shiny. It's subtle. And beautiful.
Nars x Steven Klein Black Fire (above). See? Shiny but not crazy in-your-face glossy. Sophisticated and moody, right?
Nars x Steven Klein Black Fire (above). A shift in light and you can hopefully see that tempered shine still creates a lustrous finish.
Nars Black Fire x Steven Klein (above). If the finish just isn't shiny enough for you, simply slap on a coat of your favourite top. Ta da! Super shiny! Super glossy! Super fantastic!
Nars Black Fire - Mattified (above). And then, because you knew I would, I mattified. Stuntasticalz! Give that to me!!
Golly gee. That's Nars Hard to Get (above) in two simple coats. It's got this awesome glowy, melted brushed metal look about it that pretty much has me flabbergasted.
Nars x Steven Klein Hard to Get (above) goes on like a dream. The brush in these bottles is exactly right for putting polish where you want it and nowhere else.
Nars x Steven Klein Hard to Get (above). A tiny shift in light and it pops more of a silvery-charcoal espresso bronze with that incredible satin-gloss finish. You can't get this finish with a top coat. It's not matte and it's not glossy. It is, however, divine.
Of course, if Nars Hard to Get (above) in the out-of-the-bottle satin-gloss finish isn't your cup of tea, you can always top coat to pop a wicked shine. The beauty of this Steven Klein collection is that it gives you options. And who doesn't like options?
Nars x Steven Klein Night Creature (above) is again, an easy two-coats-of-polish to that beautiful, brushed-metal finish.
Nars x Steven Klein Night Creature (above) is simply a stunner of a polish. That finish combined with the metallic polish and I'm swooning. Swooning with #GrabbyHands.
There's Nars Night Creature again (above). I hope the interwebz compression still lets you see that with a puny shift down in light level, the shade shows a little deeper purple. It shows here on my side of the screen so I'm hoping it translates to your side too.
And I can't let you go without making you look at Nars Night Creature (above) with a coat of my Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat slapped over it. I know... Amaze.
Yeah... you just knew I was gonna mattify Nars x Steven Klein Night Creature (above). You just knew it. I mean, how could I not? Lookit it!! Gah!! Gimmie Gimmie Gimmie!
