Is there such a thing as a fresh, youthful smoky-eye look? Yeah, silly question when we're looking right at it here on gorgeous Elizabeth Olsen. *grin* The actress glowed on the red carpet for I Saw the Light, which premiered yesterday at the Toronto Film Festival (TIFF celebrates its 40th anniversary this year). Her excellent brows and pretty bronzed eyes were courtesy of makeup artist Gita Bass; hair by the always lovely stylist Mark Townsend.

Makeup artist Gita Bass credits Simple Skincare for Elizabeth Olsen's bright complexion. (You may already know that I'm a big fan of Simple's Micellar Cleanser -- available in the US, it's $7.99 at ulta.com.) She used a selection of Physician's Formula, Giorgio Armani, Chanel and By Terry to create that fresh, youthful red-carpet look.

step 1 – prep: After cleansing skin with Simple Skincare Micellar Make-up Remover Wipes, Gita applied Simple Skincare Protecting Light Moisturizer with SPF 15 for a perfectly hydrated base.

step 2 – skin: Gita mixed a few drops of Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil with Georgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation to create a flawless, glowing finish.

step 3 – definition and cheeks:  Gita lightly bronzed and contoured Elizabeth's face with Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base and added Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Blush in Natural for a slight flush on the apples of the cheeks.

step 1 – liner:  Gita lined upper and lower lash lines with Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Eyeliner Trio in the pewter shade and smudged with a soft brush.

step 2 – lids: Gita layered Physicians Formula Argan Wear Ultra-Nourishing Argan Oil Bronzer onto Elizabeth's eyelids – it's a perfect shimmery bronze that doubles as an eye shadow, she says.

step 3 – finishing:  Finally, Gita lined Elizabeth's waterlines with the Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Custom Eye Enhancing Extreme Shimmer Eyeliner Trio using the black and added a few coats of Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit.

To create a gorgeous fall nude color, Gita used MAC Lip Liner in Spice all over the lips and mixed it with By Terry Baume De Rose Lip Balm.

Here's how celebrity hairstylist and Dove haircare spokesperson Mark Townsend breaks down the chic updo he did for Elizabeth Olsen:

step 1: Start with a few drops of Dove Pure Care Dry Oil on damp hair and comb it through. "I’m obsessed with this oil because it nourishes the hair from the inside and then seals the cuticle for smooth, silky hair. It never weighs the hair down," says Mark.

step 2: Add a dollop of Dove Style + Care Nourishing Curls Mousse to hair and scrunch while blow-drying for texture.

step 3: When the hair is dry, rub a small amount of Sally Hershberger 24K Texturizing Paste between your hands and rake it through from scalp to ends for cool texture.

step 4: Pull the hair back and twist it into a bun (you could easily pull hair into a ponytail and then wrap the ponytail around the base) and secure with bobby pins. When putting in bobby pins, always use an even number and apply them in “X” formation for added security.

step 5: To keep the hair in place (throughout the premiere and after party), finish by liberally spraying Dove Style+Care Extra Hold Hairspray all over.
