"That could turn a girl straight," said Jane Lynch as she watched Rafael "Rafa" Nadal play strip tennis at a press event in Bryant Park, NYC, a couple of days ago. The 29-year-old Spanish tennis pro was wearing a tailored Hilfiger suit, demonstrating its stretch with a flash of bare chest and abs as he lost his shirt in a game against lithe Hilfiger models. His pants stayed on.
Not so in the new Hilfiger underwear ads, however. In the just-released campaign spots (in time for the US Open, which starts next week), the pants definitely come off. Here, let's watch:
Tommy Hilfiger tweeted "You're welcome," with the underwear commercial.
I say "Thank you," to my tennis-fan friend Janice, who texted me a link.
Rafa is the global face of Tommy Hilfiger; watch for less of him in Hilfiger tailored suiting and more of him in TH Bold fragrance and underwear ads.
Happy Friday! Anyone else suddenly partial to navy blue briefs?
