Chanel Fall 2015 is called Collection les Automnales and is inspired by Fall foliage. That’s good. I like Fall colours that say "Fall," in Fall. The three polish shades are limited editions so the faster we look at 'em, the faster you can point your mouse places to get 'em.
chanel écorce sanguine 671 swatches
Chanel Fall 2015 Le Vernis Ecorce Sanguine 671 (above). She’s a brick red. Sorta. Or not. Sorta. There’s a whack of that hidden shimmer Chanel likes to use, so if you turn it this way or that in bright light or low light, you’ll see it. If you don’t, you’ll be looking at a delightfully vibrant brick red. Mostly brick red is muddy – not this one! Thank you, hidden shimmer. Thank you, Chanel.
Chanel Fall 2015 Ecorce Sanguine 671 (above). In two remarkably easy coats, you get what I’ve got up there. And that’s no top coat. It almost looks like a flat red there and that’s because in that light, it is. But it's not muddy!
Chanel Ecorce Sanguine 671 (above). Here you can almost see that imperceptible shimmer... almost. What it does is add a brightness. Who doesn't like brightness? And brick of all shades needs it, amIright?
Chanel Ecorce Sanguine 671 - Fall 2015 (above). And here, one more angle to show you the level of brightness that hidden shimmer imparts when it’s in moderate light. Pretty swell, huh? She's almost poppy red here!
chanel chataigne 669 swatches
Chanel Fall 2015 Le Venis Chataigne 669 (above). That’s two splendid coats with no top and… Ooooh… Aaaaah… Is it deep dark chocolatey brown?
Chanel Fall 2015 Chataigne 669 (above). Or is it maybe deep dark eggplanty brown? Hmm… Both? Yes, both. There’s no shimmer hiding in this almost jelly-like polish but there is rich, purpley brown that borders on black every now and again.
Chanel Chataigne 669 (above). Is it special? Sure – if you don’t have a shade like it. I mean look how shiny it is! Do I love it? I haven’t quite decided. I mean it’s not even August yet and I’m knee-deep in fall foliage?
chanel vert obscur 679 swatches
Chanel Fall 2015 Le Vernis Vert Obscur 679 (above). Yep, she’s a jelly.
Chanel Fall 2015 Vert Obscur 679 (above). That’s two coats because you can’t do one. One is stupendously streaktastical and remarkably unlovely. Two coats, though, get you to this extraordinary deep forest green. And it looks green. Or black. Or green.…
Chanel Le Vernis Vert Obscur 679 (above). Mostly I found this shade to be a pain in the butt. The brush is too long for my liking and I found it difficult to push the polish around evenly and avoid getting bloops on my cuticles and sidewalls. You gotta be careful and you gotta have skills if you’re going to play in this bottle. Trust me.
Chanel Vert Obscur 679 (above). She’s quite lovely though, isn’t she? With another coat (this is only two), she’d probably go inky black. I’ll stop at two and enjoy all my hard work while still having it show a vampy dark green. Yeah, even after the pain it was, I still sorta dig it.
