The Clarins Aquatic Treasures Bronzing Compact ($42CAN) is so pretty. The star product of the Summer 2015 makeup collection, the formula makes some interesting claims as well.
A matte powder with pearlized and soft-focus pigments to save it from looking flat, the compact is made up of four built-in shades so you can customize your colour. A "plant micropatch" component helps prevent water loss by forming a weightless barrier over skin; apparently it helps hydrate as well. Clarins has also included its antioxidant-rich anti-pollution complex, which is supposed to protect skin against premature aging and dullness.
Also part of the Clarins Aquatic Treasures Summer 2015 collection: two limited-edition shades of Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base illuminators ($37 CAN each), 04 Apricot and 05 Golden Caramel, for a faux, sunkissed glow; limited-edition Ombre Iridescente shimmering cream-to-powder eye shadows ($24 CAN each) in 01 Aquatic Rose (above), 02 Aquatic Green and 03 Aquatic Grey; Truly Waterproof Mascara ($27 CAN) in a limited-edition Aquatic Green (above); and Waterproof Eye Pencil ($26 CAN) in limited-edition Aquatic Green (above). I've tried the liner; pretty shade, but no match for my oily lids. *moue*
The Clarins Aquatic Treasures collection hits clarins.ca on May 1st; it's already available at Shoppers Drug Mart beauty boutiques.
In the US, the collection seems to be a bit different -- the bronzer, for instance (above), is called the Splendours Summer Bronzing Compact ($35 at clarinsusa.com) and looks a lot like the 2014 version released in the States last year. And the new shades of Instant Light Radiance Boosting Complexion Base we have in Canada aren't there. And the collection appears only on clarinsusa.com; although retailers like Nordstrom and Bloomingdales and Saks Fifth Avenue carry Clarins, the summer collection isn't on their sites. I've been checking since before the May 1st launch date; no clue why they're not there. *shrug*
Are you a Clarins fan? Do you have *grabby hands* for any of the Aquatic Treasures Summer 2015 collection? (I'm sorry, I haven't tried the bronzer yet, so I can't speak to the hydrating claims; have been obsessed with the Chanel Lumière d'Eté illuminator powder. Oops.)
