Deborah Lippmann Whisper for Spring 2015 is an incredibly pretty sheer collection of four polishes.
Above: Deborah Lippmann Chantilly Lace. Shimmery sheer fluffy pink with a subtle fuchsia flash in two simple coats.
Above: Debora Lippmann A Fine Romance. Another sheer pearly shade but this time, champagne-y.
Above: Deborah Lippmann Misty Morning. This shade almost borders on a crème but it’s still ultra-sheer. She’s a blue-leaning cool dove grey with no shimmer.
Above: Deborah Lippmann Like Dreamers Do. A floaty, pale nude latté crème that’ll probably suit any skin tone. (That's a bonus with sheer -- it lets your own colour shine through to turn the shade into yours. Like sheer lip gloss.)
You know me, I’m a fan of nails being seen and also heard. I like colour, I don’t like visible nail lines, and sheer to me is pretty much pointless unless I can layer it and make it stupendous. In this case, however, I see the beauty in sheer. If I was maybe thinking about something light ‘n pretty for a wedding, I might wanna hit up this collection.
The formulas are meant to be sheer so if you’re a fan of sheer, this collection is 100% for you. If you’re not a fan and try to build in order to achieve the look you see from looking at the bottle, you’re gonna wanna throw the bottle at the wall. Building to opaque will take you 4 or 5 coats and then of course, you’ll need to wait a couple days for it to dry. Don’t even think about it. Just don’t.
Use these the way they were meant to be and you’ll be very pleased with the sheertastical results of this Deborah Lippmann Whisper Collection, I promise.
