Huge beauty-inspiration news: Oscar-winning actress and red-carpet darling Lupita Nyong'o has been scooped by a big beauty brand. We have a Lupita Nyong'o Lancôme campaign to look forward to this Fall.

What a get for Lancôme. Lupita Nyong'o won hearts with her poignant pre-Oscars speech about "black beauty, dark beauty," feeling "unbeautiful" as a girl, and what beauty really means. The 12 Years a Slave star, 31, touched hearts again with her thoughtful Academy Awards thank-yous.
Now we can anticipate seeing a Lupita Nyong'o Lancôme campaign this Fall. She's currently appearing in ads for Miu Miu this Spring -- see below.
"What appealed to me about Lancôme is that they’re not dictating what beauty is," said Lupita in WWD. "What they do supports something that already is — and that was appealing to me, too. It’s what drew me to them."
In terms of the Lancôme cosmetics themselves, Lupita told WWD, "For the consumer at large, I think Lancôme has a range of products for every woman, and I think having me will expand people’s understanding of, hopefully, what Lancôme stands for, who Lancôme is for."

As for Lancôme, the brand is so excited about their new ambassador that they've come up with a hashtag if you want to discuss this via Twitter: #LupitaForLancome. In fact, so many people are excited about it that Lupita's contract with Lancôme even made our local news.
