Our Liza (LEEZA) Herz finds the most interesting things on the Interweb. Take this arresting image of an average size mannequin vs average size woman, for instance.

It's World Mastercard Fashion Week in Toronto right now, so Liza's find of the above image is perfectly timed.
My Pollyanna side completely understands how slender models make fashion design and clothing production... easier. There's no need to compensate for the proportion differences that become more pronounced as sizes go up.
But the side of me that has always struggled with fashion, that still thinks reflexively, if I were skinny I would wear that -- that side of me appreciates this depiction of an average size mannequin vs average size woman. That side also envies this model her beautiful curves (her proportions are quite different from mine -- my weight camps in my middle; she has a lovely defined waist).
I could muse on and on, but I'd much rather hear from you.
