Hunger Games: Catching Fire + Covergirl Capitol Collection Used on Set, Now Out
Hunger Games fans eager for a pre-premiere piece of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire can hightail it to the local drugstore right. this. minute to snatch up make-pretty pieces of the film.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire-inspired Covergirl Capitol Collection features products actually used on the movie set, and includes the following:
- Covergirl Capitol Collection Flamed Up Mega Curl Mascara ($9.99).
- Covergirl Capitol Collection Outlast Stay Brilliant Glosstinis ($4.99 each), shown above in 610 Rogue Red, 600 Sulfur Blaze and 630 Seared Bronze.
- Covergirl Capitol Collection Lipslicks Smoochies Sizzle Gloss ($6.49 each), shown above in 530 Firecracker and 546 Turn up the Heat.
The collection also includes Flamed Out Nail Stickers ($9.99).
Staff keeps hollering "Flame ON!" which makes me think of Chris Evans in his skintight costume towel as Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in The Fantastic Four, a completely different film. But for now, until The Hunger Games: Catching Fire opens November 22, it's okay to think about hot-guy Chris Evans, right?
covergirl capitol collection glosstinis: mani-geek weighs in
So Head Beautygeek heard somewhere that I was 100% chuffed to see this new collection of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire + Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstinis polishes. Late last night, she hand-delivered them to me, and it was the best late-night polish surprise ever!
They’re some kind of magi-micro-flake iridescent shimmer party on my nails. Here, look:
Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstinis Rogue Red
Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstinis Sulfur Blaze
Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstinis Rogue Red over Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstinis Sulfur Blaze – while playing with the Sulfur Blaze, I couldn’t help but wonder what it’d look like if I put a coat of Rogue Red over it, so, for your viewing pleasure, I created this conflagration of orange.
Covergirl Capitol Collection Glosstini Seared Bronze
I dig these polishes. The stuff goes on really well (I did three coats), dries fairly quickly, and shows as exactly as you see here. I should also mention that the square top come off to reveal that round black knobby cap underneath – it’s easy to hold and easy to maneuver - smart Covergirl. My only wish is that Head Beautygeek had had bigger pockets so she could have brought me the rest of the collection to play with.
