While the staying power is truly impressive -- so is how comfortable the long-wear texture feels (I forget I'm wearing it) -- I'm rather struck by the way this lipstick looks as it very, very, very slowly wears away. A stubborn-in-a-good-way finish that laughs in the face of coffee and lunch, the hours-later effect of a smooth, polished application looks as though you've artfully dabbed the colour on your lips with a fingertip for a deliberately romantic softness.
Unexpectedly creamy and satisfyingly pigmented, this is L'Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rouge in Enduring Berry, $12.99 at drugstores and mass retailers. It's a new favourite bright. I wore this on the red carpet at TIFF to swoon in front of Tom Hiddleston, who stars with gorgeous Rachel Weisz (she's a L'Oréal Paris ambassador) in The Deep Blue Sea.
I'm a little obsessed with L'Oréal Paris Infallible Le Rougelipstick now, thanks to its excellent texture and surprising colour payoff. PR Caroline Duguay wore one each day, and each day I geeked out about how they looked on her and wanted to wear the same colour myself.
And now I'll geek out (to my mirror) about how they look on me :-)
