I blame Lesa and Katherine. More and more I find myself outside the neutral zone when it comes to lip colour, and it's all their fault. L and K both love a good berry shade, and a rich shade of fuchsia makes them swoon. But it's not just their enthusiastic hue appreciation that influences my gravitation toward make-a-splash colours. When I wear such shades, the most common phrase I hear is, "I love that colour! I wish I could wear it." Which of course I used to think myself before I took the bright-lip leap.
Other than a red, this was the only bright shade in the collection from which it comes. Is that bad? Definitely not if you feel more at home in easy-wear neutral shades, which make up the set but for this, a colour to work up to if you don't usually go there. Less bright in the photo than in real life, it's Bourjois Paris Sweet Kiss Lipstick in 57 Fuchsia Class, $18.
