Happy Canada Day! I thought it only right that today I wear something rather patriotic, a celebratory lippie with Canadian roots although the company itself is American. A very wearable, approachable red -- again, how fitting -- this is Elizabeth Arden Red Door Red Limited Edition Anniversary Lipstick, $26. Although there seems to be a titch of controversy as to whether Arden (originally named Florence Nightingale Graham) was born in Woodbridge, Ontario, or in Cornwall, England, the general consensus sticks with Woodbridge, which suits my Canada-Day purposes just fine.
Not only is Red Door Red a red most women can wear without feeling outrageous, it's a super comfortable formula, not at all drying or heavy on the lips. Launched to celebrate 100 years of Elizabeth Arden, the lipstick is available until the end of 2010, likely a little beyond. For more on the woman behind Elizabeth Arden, click here.
