This overflowing giveaway basket of Herbacin hand and body care (worth about $80) is making the blogosphere rounds. If you're clever you've entered to win wherever you've seen it -- can't have too much protection against winter's bitchslap, I say.
Herbacin is a German brand from a company of the same name founded in 1905 with the intention of producing herbal-based skincare for sensitive skin. The product has been on Canadian drugstore shelves since the beginning of the 1990s; the hand cream is one of my favourites for keeping skin soft in dry times. TIP: If hands are particularly dry, rinse them with water, lightly pat dry, then hit the hand cream.
Formulated with natural chamomile extract to soothe irritated skin, the line's offerings include other natural extracts as well. The Herbacin Kamille hand cream (guess what Kamille means?) is made with silicone and natural glycerin to help keep skin supple and help it withstand frequent washings. A hand-and-nail balm contains vitamins A and E as well as aloe vera, all in a texture that makes it easy to massage into cuticles as you moisturize hands. The skin-firming body lotion also contains argan oil, the currently popular nut extract loaded with natural vitamin E. And the preservative-free lip balm has natural bees wax, castor oil and coconut oil, as well as vitamins C and E.
To be eligible for the Herbacin draw, you must be a BeautyGeeks subscriber (click here to subscribe if you haven't already) who lives in Canada. Enter by sending an e.mail with HERBACIN in the subject line and your name, age, address and phone number in the body, to firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday November 28.
Get ready to lotion up. *grin*
