Guest Post: I Heart Beauty Gushes about Korres Watermelon Sunscreen

Meet Katherine Flemming of I Heart Beauty, a new beauty blog I think you'll like. Staff's not so keen -- she's miffed I'm putting other people's voices here instead of asking her to write. Frankly, Katherine's better than she is and nicer, too. See what you think.

I’m crazy about finding a good sunscreen, especially for my face. However, many tend to irritate, making it feel like—ironically—it’s burning. After years of being tempted by the Korres Watermelon Sunscreen packaging (and scent, duh!) I finally gave in. But, instead of the cream, I picked up the Korres Watermelon Sunscreen Stick SPF 30, which contains broad spectrum UVA/UVB coverage and easily shields lips, eyes, ears and nose—awesome, because I hate applying sunscreen near my eyes.

For those on the chemical-free sunscreen campaign, the listed ingredients are avobenzone, octocrylene and zinc oxide. Size-wise, it’s a touch bigger than a jumbo lip balm and the brown and white packaging (especially the pink ‘30’ font!) is adorable. It smells like a real, juicy watermelon that came from the ground and while I’m never one for adding gleam to my already-oily landscape, leaves you with a very pretty, light-as-ever, pinkish glow. On lips, it looks like a sheer, super-soft rose, and feels like a non-waxy lip balm. $32, CDN, at Sephora.
