This morning, finding the start of a new roll of paper towels took me seven minutes. When I was making coffee, I forgot where I'd put the carafe after filling it just seconds before. When I found it, I slotted it into place without pouring the water into the machine's well. I remembered to unplug my recharged cel phone so I could plug the coffee machine in, but then forgot to start it. And damnit, the lifeline balmy weather of the last two days has cruelly reverted to miserable, snow-blowy minus double-digits celsius crap again.
This is a job for St. Ives Energizing Citrus Moisturizing Body Wash ($6.99 CAN/$4 US). Just inhaling its bright, clear scent of tangerine, lime, mint, grapefruit and eucalyptus from the bottle as I type this is clearing the a.m. mental fog.
Actually, I gave a bottle of Energizing Citrus to a friend of mine whose days are sometimes a little blue, thinking maybe the zippy fragrance would be helpful for her this winter. And she loves it. "This stuff saves my mornings," she gushed the other day. Such is the power of an uplifting scent.
I wish St. Ives made a body lotion in the same fragrance so I could layer the wakey wakey. Until then, I'll settle for being able to find my coffee. Thanks for the help, St. Ives. You're pretty good to have around when Clive-O and Daniel-C can't be here to make my coffee for me.
St. Ives is available at drugstores, mass markets and at Well.ca (free shipping in Canada). Image courtesy of St. Ives.
