This is actually a Geeking OUT post -- my friend Alexis and I just watched freaky-fantastic popper Robert Muraine (and a lesser-known-to-me breaker named Garvin Tran, a.k.a. Gyroe) perform on Front St. in downtown Toronto. Pulp, as the duo calls themselves, is here for BuskerFest, an annual Toronto international street performers festival which this year goes until Sunday August 24th. If you missed this season of "So You Think You Can Dance" and don't know who Muraine is, have a gander at this behind-the-scenes video of the making of the current Canadian Ikea commercial:
Muraine and his pal Gyroe are performing again over the weekend; check with the on-site location booth for details. He and Gyro are just too good to miss.
Ooh, and if you're a "Canadian Idol" fan, this season's seriously-cool top-five finalist Mookie Morris is also rocking out this weekend as part of the BuskerFest fun.
