Retinol is a proven anti-aging ingredient — there’s no question that it softens the appearance of fine lines, reduces the severity of deep wrinkles, smooths the skin and boosts elasticity. But for some, retinol products came with a bit of a smack, a stinging discomfort. Not so with RoC’s new Retin-Ox Wrinkle Correxion lineup, which hit drugstore shelves this month.
Retin-Ox contains a buffered retinol, an encapsulated version that allows for a gradual, bit-at-a-time release to avoid irritation. (Canadian companies Neostrata and Dermaglow also employ buffering technologies with their retinol and glycolic acid skincare.) [geek on]
