My name is Janine Falcon and I’m a beauty geek.

What’s a beauty geek? According to some, it’s a person freakishly obssessed with skin care, hair care and makeup, who enthusiastically shares related info with just about anyone, anywhere, anytime. Sheesh.

My beauty background includes several years on the beat at Canadian Living and Homemakers magazines, a stint as a plus model, and a successful side gig as a freelance makeup artist with a best-looking-you approach. I’m the first former magazine beauty editor in Canada to have established a beauty blog, and I’ve popped up on “Canadian Idol” to talk grooming with the guys. (Hmmm. How to post the clips without really posting the clips… here, Part One — sorry, sound’s wonked — and Part Two.) As well, my byline’s popped up on stories for Chatelaine magazine, Metro news, CanadianLiving.com, Homemakers.com and BestHealthMag.ca.

While I love a new lipgloss as much as the next girl, really I’m all about solution-oriented beauty for all ages, stuff that delivers glowing skin, glossy hair, foolproof fresh-faced beauty, and compliment-attracting style whether you’re a teen, in your 20s or swingin’ 60. Kind of a geek, see?
