Welcome back, friends! It's the second half of the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Collection Swatches! I have your Infinite Shine shades along with some comparisons you might find useful.
There are 6 shades for the IS (Infinite Shine) part of OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s and they’re all designed to be used with the IS base and the IS top coats. Do I? Nope. Does it make a difference? Sure, but it’s slight – especially if you use your hands like you mean it.
Is it worth the money to invest in the base and top? Sure, if you don’t already have a combo that gives you good wear, you can certainly think about it. Onwards we go!
opi breakfast at tiffany’s infinite shine swatches & review
OPI I Believe in Manicures Infinite Shine (above). Interestingly, this IS shade is marginally lighter than the one in the regular line. This one is also 3 coats but I think the coats with the regular OPI are a tiny bit easier to apply. Do I have a dupe? We'll find out. Later. Down there. After the swatches.
OPI Girls Love Pearls Infinite Shine (above). Oh, hello super-frostastical pearly white! That’s 2 coats but you might need 3. I’m sort of a pro with this old-school formula, but even for me, it’s a little streaky. Them streaks don’t dry down all the way. Nope. They really, really don’t.
OPI Sunrise… Bedtime! Over Girls Love Pearls (above). How do you give love to a streaky pearly white frost that you thought you’d be able to master but couldn’t? By hiding the streaks. Ta da!
OPI Can’t Tame a Wild Thing (above). Oooh! Poppy red! I may or may not have a dupe for this – let’s wait ‘n see, yes? Oh, 2 coats, good formula, good shine, blah blah blah.
OPI Ring The Buzzer Again (above). The notes simply say “2 coats of bluey-red magenta jelly.” Wow, sounds like it’s an excruciatingly exciting shade of I’ve-Seen-That-Eleventy-Jillion-Times-Before.
OPI I’ll Have A Manhattan (above). That’s 2 coats with no base or top. In the bottle, it’s lovely. Out of the bottle and on the nail, it might as well be black. She dries darker than the bottle, by a lot. But wait! Can she ever actually look purple like it's supposed to? Sure!
OPI I’ll Have a Manhattan (above). If I shoot it under 100% artificial light, I get this beautifulness. I know, right? You wannit. But trust me: mostly black.
OPI Party at Holly’s (above). That's 2 coats and the formula is superb. Also, you know shades like this will get your cuticles and sidewalls if you let them, so paint carefully and don’t be all twisty with removal. Other than that, there’s not a whole lot to say about this shade of Got-It-Got-It-Don’t-Need-It-Got-It. Oh! Maybe there is one more thing to say!
CND Stellarbration over OPI Party at Holly’s (above). While I was working on the OPI, this festive CND Creative Play concoction landed on my desk! It’s perfect over Party at Holly’s!
I’m not usually a fan of shapes in glitter because they like to stick up, but this one is fab. I love it. It’s got a mass of really gorgeous things mixed with silver and gold confetti. It looks like a mishmash in the bottle, but once it's on, I swear to you it’s my new favourite holiday polish top coat of ever. 100% adore.
So that’s the OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Infinite Shines! Did they blow me away? Nope. Do they blow you away is the more important question. Do they? Is there anything here that appeals?
opi breakfast at tiffany’s comparison swatches & dupes
Okay, here’s the thing – if you’re looking for comparison swatches, it’s because you already have an Archive. If you already have an Archive, then the shades I'm not showing you have easy dupes that you probably already have. If you really, really, really need to see something, just ask. If I have the 2 sticks, I’ll send you a PM over Instagram. You’ll have to leave me your IG name though, k? And it might take me a bit, but I'll try my best!
OPI I Believe in Manicures comparison swatches (above). Hmm.. and here I was thinking I had nuthin’ to match. Oh – and that’s obviously the blue Mint Candy Apple, right?
OPI Five-And-Ten comparison swatches (above). Nuthin’. I got nuthin’.
OPI Champagne For Breakfast and Sunrise… Bedtime comparison swatches (above). Someone somewhere said Champagne for Breakfast was the same as Fairy Dust. Hahhahaa! No. It's similar in composition to the grey-tinted based My Voice is a Little Norse – it just has a clear base instead of grey.
OPI Girls Love Pearls Infinite Shine comparison swatches (above). BL is for Black Label OPI and apparently I have a bunch of old-school white frosties. Interestingly, I think Girls Love Pearls wins for most streaks.
OPI Rich and Brazilian comparison swatches (above). I had to over-light this to show the flecks properly so this is not a true shade swatch, but simply a comparison. MOPI is a Mystery OPI that has was born as Nicole by OPI Smile for the Glam-era; it was later re-bottled and labeled as the first incarnation of OPI Stir-Fried Eggplant. Many thanks to my Insta reader for the reminder on that!
OPI Black Dress Not Optional comparison swatches (above). Again, over-lit to show you shimmerz. Word on the street is that if you top coat OPI 4 in the Morning, you end up with a dupe.
OPI Apartment for Two comparison swatches (above). These aren’t all the same but if you ask me, they’re similar enough.
OPI Meet My Decorator & OPI Can’t Tame a Wild Thing comparison swatches (above). Yeah. I’m not lining those up. Just pick one you think you have already. They’re all 90+% dupetastic.
And that’s it! I could have done pics for the other reds, but realistically, if you’re looking at comparisons, you’ve got a dupe already.
Oh! And dupe for OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s? SinfulColors something or other that I don’t have. P.Moon has it up on her YouTube.
Our OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Swatches & Review post has all the other swatches of the regular line, but if you’re too lazy, here – a slideshow! As an added bonus, somehow we can zoom slideshow images! Wheeeeeee!!!!
