Pedicure with Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure in Back to the Fuchsia

This week's Lipstick League concern is something I often think should fall under a "public service" classification: foot grooming. Sandal Season is rapidly approaching in the Western Hemisphere (you may already be wearing sandals as we type this). So let’s hear it: what do you do to get your feet ready for their big spring/summer reveal?

I don't expose my feet very often, even at home. I dislike walking around in bare feet; I always wear socks or slippers or both. Thus I don't need much in the way of buffing and exfoliation. But because I prefer soak-off gel on my toes so I don't have to wait for anything to dry, I do need a colour re-do, and I get that via occasional professional pedicure help from my favourite experts at Tips Nail Bar. (BTW, Happy 10th Anniversary, Tips!)

In the rare event that my heels need a little smoothing, I use a manual foot file I keep in the shower stall, or book a few minutes with my genius MicroPedi (I've given one of these to pretty much everyone in my family, and to friends, too). Our Liza – pronounced "leeza" – Herz has been known to employ this uniquely named express pedicure strategy when she has a sandal emergency. Usually, though, if my feet aren't sandal-ready, I wear shoes.
