DO YOU READ REVIEWS BEFORE A BLIND PURCHASE?

If you buy online without having seen the product in person first, do you research first or just take a chance with your wallet?

Oooh, this week's Lipstick League question is a good one: When you make a "blind purchase" (buy a beauty product without ever having seen it in person), how important is it to you to read reviews first? Have you ever made a blind purchase without reading a single review?

Short answer: no. Longer answer: I don't really buy much online. I still prefer to buy in person, unless I have to re-up on something I already know. That said, I'd seen and heard so much about those pretty Milani blushes and lipsticks that I ordered them online without seeing or touching them beforehand. (They're still pristine, months later. *sigh* #archivist) And I'm just about to pull the trigger on some tinted lip balm and gloss from sephora.ca... which isn't really much of a risk because hello: if they're sheer, they'll work with any complexion.
