Lovelies, this may be my favourite three-minute makeup technique via Estee Lauder makeup artist Carly Wolk! It's the most genius, easiest and fastest way to achieve sky-high cheekbones and a lifted effect -- the visual facelift. Is it wrong to admit that I've watched this video tutorial a bunch of times myself before posting it?
Also: props to lovely Gillian DiCesare for generously allowing herself to be filmed from bare face to finished look over the course of these video tutorials! It's so nice to see her fresh and simple makeup look complete now!
Here, I can't wait for you to see this and let me know what you think:
Important to note: using concealer instead of bronzer means you'll get a much more true-to skintone shade as your contour. Smart considering you're creating a natural-looking shadow on skin. Carly Wolk's tip about taking your colour cue from whether you have a warm or cool skintone is especially valuable -- it's too easy to end up with a muddy finish.
And the blush – isn't it amazing how just a little colour on the cheeks can make eyes look so bright? Plus, I love that X-marks-the-spot move!
Here's a recap of the products Carly used in this sky-high cheekbones video tutorial.
What do you think? Even if you're sick to death of contour stuff, is this not the most awesome and super-quick technique ever?? And how pretty does Gillian look with that sweet pink blush on her cheeks?
