"In case of emergency, put mascara on yourself before helping others." That's beauty wisdom from Pamela Barsky, a New-York-City based artist. My friend Janice gave me this cheeky canvas pouch for Christmas (thanks, Janice!). Other great slogan options include, "I have way more makeup at home," "Does this lipstick make my butt look fat?" and "Lipgloss is for beginners."
Not all these irreverent pouches are beauty-related ("Tights are not pants, Tights are not pants, Tights are not pants..."; "I'm married to my work and I want a divorce"); you'll see much more on Pamela Barsky's etsy shop. She ships to Canada by the way, and the pouches, which come in a range of sizes from pencil-case to 8 x 10, average about $16.50 USd. Most are canvas; a few are leather or velvet.
Makeup: Chanel Rêverie Parisienne Lip Gloss in Crazy Fuchsia ($29.50 at nordstrom.com), Chanel Rêverie Parisienne Rouge Allure Velvet Luminous Matte Lip Colour in 49 La Petillante ($35 at nordstrom.com), and Chanel Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir ($37 at thebay.com and $30 at nordstrom.com).
Know anyone else who needs this Pamela Barsky pouch? *grin*
