This Holiday 2014 Lancome Drama Eyes Hypnose Palette of eyeshadows in Parisian Lights is so pretty! One of the prettiest I've ever seen from Lancome. Magical even, with a fine shimmer of fairy dust in each shade. My camera certainly loves it. And the more I look, the more I want to wear it. Who am I??

Look at this. Each shade is shot with gold shimmer so fine that the texture looks a bit like raw silk. And I've just realized why I like this Lancome Parisian Lights palette so much: although it's awash with gold, it's neutral, not really warm like gold-hued palettes often are.
The Lancome Drama Eyes Hypnose Palette in Parisian Lights is $55 at thebay.com. In the US, it seems to be an existing Color Design Shadow and Liner palette ($50 at nordstrom.com). Oh, that how-to diagram on the mirror is easy to relocate if you need it for reference, by the way. Have you noticed how many eyeshadow palettes come with intructions these days? Many, many brands, not just those under the L'Oreal umbrella. Do you find them helpful?
See? More looks to try, no matter which palette we have.
Beside the compact: Lancome Hypnose Dazzling "cushion-y" powder eye shadows, also shot-through with gold. The first one is Black; the second is gold. Not shown: a gold-shimmer garnet. $28 at thebay.com and $25 each at nordstrom.com.
The Lancome Holiday 2014 Parisian Lights Collection includes this frosted-glass-like jar of shimmery loose powder. The press material suggests a woman might keep this in her purse and apply it in the back of a cab, but I can tell you um... NO! Shimmery loose powder in a jar in a moving vehicle is just asking for trouble. Lancome Poudre de Lumiere Shimmering Loose Powder, $60 at thebay.com and $58 at nordstrom.com.
In Canada, the lip shades in this Parisian Lights collection are limited edition Absolu Rouge lipsticks in 165 and 484 ($36 each at lancome.ca). Gorgeous. Can't seem to find them on any US sites, I'm sorry. Am one hundred percent in lust with 484.
Has anyone already tried the Lancome Drama Eyes Hypnose Palette in Parisian Lights? Does its not-too-warm gold tones appeal to you? Or are you the-warmer-the-better when it comes to gold?
