Chanel Spring 2014 makeup collectionThere’s something about each January’s Chanel cosmetics launch that crystalizes our desire to leapfrog over winter straight into Spring. The Chanel Spring 2014 makeup collection is no different. Its creamy candy reds, plush browns, soft plums and sweet pinks that range from ballerina to apricot to electric is all about that rosy blush of Spring stepping confidently from its cozy cocoon. Bring. It.

Love your scoops Janine! I love the polishes, particularly the Charivari & Tapage! The tangy red blush looks very interesting too but will reserve judgment until I can swatch in person…

Now that we’ve got a Tom Ford Beauty counter in Toronto, I’m looking forward to some reviews!

Cheers, Lisa

Need Charivari! Now! :::grabby hands::: this actually looks perfect for fall. why does Chanel do this to us? Last year it was Accessoire for Spring. what a perfect shade.

Grabby hands! hahahhaaaa!! Karen Mani-Geek likes this!

I’ma adopt *grabby hands* too! Thanks for that, Lorraine! (And you’re right about Charivari — it’s a good shade to wear in January and February and March… well, until the Chanel summer makeup collection hits counters.)

Um, all of it.

So does this mean no more awful baked eyeshadow quads here in Canada? PLEASE say yes. :)

Janine 17 November 2013 at 9:11 am

One would hope, T — the sparkle-tastic baked shadows have limited appeal… like none on my side of the screen. Ugh. I like the mix of finishes in this quad; it’s an easy bridal palette too.

DROOLING!

I love that these aren’t pastels. Always prefer peppier colours!

Agree, Liz — pastels are pretty, but for most women they’re a bit off-putting. These neutrals are easy, and that La Diva… *pop*

I’ll take the two cream blushes and the Chanel Rouge CoCo in Triomphe. Ahhhhh whispers of spring and it’s not even officially winter yet!

Janine 17 November 2013 at 9:29 pm

See why we just want to skip Winter altogether?? *grin*

I’m crying on the cold hard floor for those cream blushers – which would be amazing on my skin – and that lipstick. The nail polish is welcome…GOD. Chanel is on point for Spring. Strong bright lips, bright blushers. YES please.

I can’t wait to try those blushes myself — gorgeous. But please, Adaora, get off the cold hard floor. Wrap yourself in a cosy blanket instead :-)

I know this post is a few months old, but I came to tell you that because of it, I am $90 poorer, 2 lipsticks closer to makeup hoarder rehab, and officially enslaved to Chanel.

Can’t thank you enough :)

You’re welcome, Danielle! (Part of me wants to say “oops,” but those lipsticks will make you smile every time you use them, and I can’t oops about that.)
