No time for clever heds and deft writing — I’ve foolishly left my laptop’s power cord at home, and you need this information before my battery hits snooze.
Fashion illustrator and Dior artist-in-residence Bil Donovan is at Holt Renfrew on Bloor St. W in Toronto today from 4pm to 8pm, painting portraits. For a $125 fee, redeemable in Dior beauty products, each client will have her makeup done by a Dior artist, then have a 15-minute sitting with Bil. A few spots are still available; call 416-922-2333 and ask for the Dior counter.
Bil, who is also Associate Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology and the author of Advanced Fashion Drawing/Lifestyle
Illustration (Lawrence King Ltd), has travelled throughout the US at the behest of Dior Beauty and Saks Fifth Avenue to paint portraits of event attendees. This is his first visit to Canada.
More on lovely Bil and his beautiful work when I can reunite my laptop with its power cord. In the meantime, even if you can’t snag an appointment, pop by the Dior counter at Holt’s on Bloor to see him work if you can. You will be utterly charmed, by Bil as well as his portraits.
I’ve never looked better.
