Got lots of compliments on this cheery tangerine-jelly OPI Axxium shade, first concocted by Melissa at Tips Nail Bar, and here applied by Leeanne with a little extra graphic detail. It’s my new spring/summer mani, no surprise given my orange-obsession. Four things you need to know if you want this too:
1) The OPI Axxium orange gel is Y’all Come Back Ya Hear?. Like the Texas Collection polish version, it’s sheer. Really sheer.
2) This tangerine is a combo of Axxium in Alpine Snow as the base so the orange pops, plus three coats of Y’all Come Back Ya Hear?
3) I like a slight translucent finish to my nails (I’m a one-coat girl with OPI Axxium in Cajun Shrimp) because it gives them a jelly-like shine. This combo delivers exactly that.
4) The yellow striping is Hard Candy Just Nails in Splendid.
So who hasn’t tried Axxium yet? (Worth mentioning: Axxium and other soak-off gels do not damage your nails, technicans do, if you have less-than-capable technicians.)

This post is makes me want orange nails—that’s one shade I’ve never tried!

These shades are available in regular OPI polish formulas if you’d rather stick to standard lacquer. The finish won’t last as long as Axxium does, though :-)
