Lipstick Diary: What I Wore That Day

Don’t get me wrong, I like the colour. It’s a sweet, summery coral. I just think I liked it better on Michelle of BeautyEditor.ca. With her fair skin, blue eyes and blonde hair, the shade is, in a word, fetching.

This is Cargo PlantLove 100% Natural Origin Lipstick in Evangeline, $20, designed for the Canadian company by Canadian actress Evangeline Lily, who got famous by getting “Lost.”

New to PlantLove? You want to know the botanical formula is housed in a tube made of a biodegradeable corn polymer, the seed-infused cardbox box grows up to be flowers if you plant and water it with care, and $2 from the sale of each celeb shade (there are 13) go to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visit cargocosmetics.com for retailer info.

Hey! Mine is actually the Maria Menounos shade – that’s why you were disappointed. The Maria one has more pop than Evangeline – it’s more of a pinky red than a coral.
Actually scratch that – just looked at their site and they describe as a “sheer poppy red cream” http://www.cargocosmetics.com/product_44.html
Honestly, it’s one of my fave lipsticks evah! Is it in your archives?

AHA! I think it may be — I’ll check! Did you try Evangeline? I bet it would be pretty on you. *grin*

Not sure I have it. Have to shop my closet! Lord knows where it could be… I have major storage issues.

It doesn’t make me look like Evangeline Lily, sadly. You?
