No-one does a how-to kit of pretty better than Benefit, I’m fairly certain. Now out are Sunday Funday and Scene Queen, limited-edition signature looks from Benefit trend artists Maggie and Annie Ford Danielson, daughters to co-founder Jean, nieces to Jane.
In Maggie’s Sunday Funday (above), eye shadows in bronze, pink, champagne and plum make nice with a dark brown pencil liner, Hoola bronzing powder, Benetint lip and cheek stain, and a full-sized peachy-pink gloss. “For a natural look, use either of the lighter two shades swept simply across the lids,” she suggests in the press materials. “For a more dramatic look, layer on the brown in the crease and use the plum as a liner. In a pinch you can also smudge some of the hoola on your lids as a 5th shadow!”
Annie’s kit is Scene Queen (above). Charcoal, beige, blue and navy can go from mist to smoke; Coralista cheek powder and coral gloss keep the finish lively. Highbeam highlights cheekbones and more, according to Annie. “I love to pat a little of it on the center of my eye lids and in the middle of my lips,” she says in the release. “This makes your eyes look big and round and your lips more plump.” She also suggests the gloss as a multi-tasker for lips, cheeks, and in a beauty emergency, lids.
Annie (above left) and Maggie are scheduled for visits to two Canadian Sephora locations this month, by the way. They’ll be at Sephora Pacific Centre in Vancouver on July 30th and Sephora Chinook in Calgary on July 31st to meet shoppers and do a bit of chatting.
So you want ’em? Sunday Funday and Scene Queen, I mean. You need to be a BeautyGeeks subscriber (click here) and/or BeautyGeeks Facebook member (click here) who lives in Canada to be eligible. To enter, just leave a comment below with mention of your city/province. A lucky winner will be chosen in a random draw after July 31st.
Props to Staff, by the way. She’s rocking with contests these days, yes?
