We’ll never stop calling her the Material Girl, no matter how old she gets or how much material she actually wears. And though rumour has it Madonna is starting to cover up as the clothing line she and Lourdes are doing for Macy’s is about to launch, that doesn’t mean she’s giving up sexy, judging by this Smythe lace henley ($250) she’s apparently just ordered.
Word is that one of Madonna’s people or stylists contacted Smythe’s associates in LA at the end of last week to order the top for Madonna’s “personal use.”
You, too, can wear this shirt (likely before I can) come September, via Holt Renfrew and TNT.
No seriously. I would totes wear this if I were skinny. I’d probably wear a bra, too. Probably.

um, I think I did wear that shirt – back in ’87. I’m pretty sure I rocked it too! In fact I only gave up my celebrity wannabe wardrobe very recently. I started an online clothing swap for women on Facebook – suzieswapper – and I was able to find new homes for my never gonna be that skinny again stuff – and get free i’m comfortable in my new size stuff too! (btw, brands swapped include joe fresh to 7 for all mankind…Mesh, acidwash, & shoulderpads not accepted, lol!)
