Weekend Reads 1: A TopShop Spot, Swoonworthy Rings, Bagging a Giveaway

The biggest news for Toronto’s fashion addicts this week is TopShop’s landing spot in local boutique Jonathan+Olivia. I didn’t make it out to the media preview (my wallet is so relieved), but Dejana from Shopsterium did.

Pardon the personal question, but do you colour your hair? I’m only asking because you might like to review some shine-boosting care for your hair type via ChickAdvisor‘s Product Review Club.

I love bowls. Flat plates, meh; I rarely use them. But shallow bowls, noodle bowls, deep soup bowls, and now these patterned rice bowls — At Home with Kim Vallee is making me hungry! (Mmmm, roasted corn.)

Now that I’m hungry, makes a weird sense that I’m thirsty, too, right? I’m going to get Staff to make me this Cucumber and Ginger Elixir from Health & Swellness.

We all have our stuck-in-a-rut times, sometimes known as comfort zones. Not to say Sometimes Icing is stuck — in fact her new blogsession now has her splashing about in a Blue Lagoon.

My love of striking cocktail rings is no secret. With a wardrobe as simple as mine is, I need interesting pieces to liven things up. Spotted these amazing YSL babies on What Women Want and am now consumed with — well, want.

Want also whispers in my ear about handbags, especially when they’re part of a prize. On BeautyEditor.ca, subscribe and enter to win stuff for hair and body, plus a handsome and roomy Matt & Nat bag (which features an interior lining made from 15 plastic bottles).
