ginger cookies

My dad is the second-hardest person to buy presents for. Rather than giftie things, I think he'd prefer a fresh batch of I-made-’em ginger cookies (’cept my oven's still borked -- sorry da’), or a pilgrimage for the best fish’n’chips I've ever had (if we can get my mum to come too). If your dad's good with gifts, though, you might like to peruse the Father's Day gift guide on Lipstick Powder n Paint and ChickAdvisor.

I couldn't decide this week whether to link to the milk glass and porcelain cake stands, which I'm pretty sure my friend Lesa will like, the easy DIY summer projects (my mum makes plastic-bottle terrariums, too!), or the pretty-posy centrepieces on At Home with Kim Vallée. So you pick.

Gotta change my cable package. Don't think I can do the delayed-grat thing with "True Blood" this season, not with the storyline heating up between Sookie and so-hot Eric. Heck, I might need something to help me cool off. What Women Want has a suggestion.

Looking for a quick fix for tired, puffy eyes after an un-restful night? Sometimes Icing, who has great brows, btw, goes for green, under the watchful, unpuffy eyes of Giant Playmobile Guy.

They travel, throw great parties, rock great style and always look gorgeous. Unfair, truly. And they're lovely. They're BeautyEditor.ca's Babes in the Biz this week: Coco and Lowe. Totes hot stuffs.
