I’ve got a new number in my little black book of beauty: 42. Yeah, yeah, I’m still enjoying my Stormy Grey relationship, but now I’m also crushing on Giorgio Armani Fluid Shine Nail Polish 42 ($26).
It’s different between us, you know? 42 is a soft, gentle hue of mushroomy grey or taupe. A couple of shades lighter than OPI You Don’t Know Jacques, it’s a bit lavender-y, with a delicate trace of shimmer (the photo doesn’t do it justice, of course). Sweet, really. Pretty for fingertips with You Don’t Know Jacques on toes.
No, Stormy and 42 don’t quite get along. Stormy is far more blue, and won’t even speak to You Don’t Know Jacques. Complex relationships for sure, but I think I can handle them all.

Good luck — it’s a pretty and hot shade. Doesn’t last as long on nails as other brands, but really, does it matter??
