If you caught this weekend’s E! Weekend News broadcasts on E! Channel, then you saw how easy Quo Cooling Gel Shadow Pencils ($14 CAN) are to apply and how pretty the finish looked on our model Marina. It took makeup artist Aniko Farkas just a minute to stroke the shimmery gel shadow tip across Marina’s lids and blend it out with a fingertip. A little waterproof mascara, and done. Youthful in its simplicity and, although not a new concept, fun because of the on-contact cooling sensation, especially in hot weather.
Available in seven pretty shades — 9o° (a sepia tone), Snowdrift (pearlescent purple), Glacier (sand), Cool Breeze (pebble brown), Ice Cap (cappucino brown), Tundra (smokey grey) and Arctic Blue (grey blue) — the gel shadow is water based, formulated with natural cucumber and chamomile, and crease resistant.
Yep, they’re crayons for the grown-up girl.
Canadian brand Quo cosmetics is available at Shoppers Drug Mart.

Can you give me the link to this news piece? I’d love to watch it.
I’m putting it up!
Are these pencils waterproof as well?
I don’t think so, Naveen, but they have pretty good staying power. I do wish the cooling tingle lasted a tad longer, but still, kinda fun. And very travel-friendly. Don’t have to worry about dropping your eyeshadow and having it smash into 1000 pieces.
