So you’ve heard of retinol and its wrinkle-reducing and collagen- and elastin-boosting abilities. But your kinda sensitive skin keeps whining, “I probably won’t like that. You don’t want to make me sad, do you?”
And maybe you’ve heard of hyaluronic acid and its skin-plumping action thanks to its superhero-like ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water. (Your kinda sensitive skin’s quiet now, right? It makes its own hyaluronic acid, so it’s listening.)
You’ve probably not heard of adenosine, but it’s also familiar to your skin. A molecule the body already makes, according to the folks at Vichy Laboratoires it exhibits “retinol-like” abilities and boosts retinol’s effectiveness without upping irritation.
Vichy LiftActiv Retinol HA ($49) contains all three of these ingredients, which together promise to play nice and gentle with your kinda sensitive skin to reduce wrinkle visibility. In fact, according to 109 women who took part in Vichy’s testing phase, you should see some kind of initial improvement within four days. (Of course you’ll have a better idea of change after about four weeks, the length of time it takes the skin to register a significant difference).
My skin loves the moisturizer’s light gel-cream texture and great hydration. It didn’t register much of a wrinkle reduction, but, well, it doesn’t have many wrinkles (don’t hate). That said, LiftActiv HA is aimed at what Vichy calls the “interventionist” crowd, women in their 30s who are determined to rewind a bit and Stay Put. So I’m thinking five interventionist Canadian-resident subscribers will have to win a Vichy LiftActiv Retinol HA moisturizer and LiftActiv Retinol HA Eyes set (value $91) to try it out and report back.
To enter, please click here to become a subscriber if you aren’t already, then send an e.mail to imabeautygeek@gmail.com with LIFTACTIV in the subject line (very important so your entry is filed correctly). In the body of the e.mail, please include your name, age, address and phone number. Your entry deadline is Wednesday June 17th, 2009.
Good luck! Maybe your kinda sensitive skin will make a new friend.

Sounds like a dream product! Sadly, I’m well past the ‘interventionist’ crowd. ;)
Hope you’ll post the results!

HAH! You are a total interventionist! For some of us, it’s not the birth certificate, it’s how old our skin looks, and yours is soooo good. I know you’ve already got great stuff going on for your happy skin, but you’re absolutely welcome to enter if you like!
Great giveaway! I liked your article in the Metro yesterday. I guess I’m a perfect candidate for the anti-aging crowd:), prevention time!

Thanks re: the Metro article! You’re young — you get to call yourself an interventionist. *grin*

As long as your skin isn’t reactive… Vichy is great for skin that likes more gentle formulas, though, so if it’s “just” sensitive you should be fine. Best to pop into a Shoppers to chat with someone in the derm centre about Vichy and your skin to be certain. Then if you win, you know!
Lift me up in spirit with LiftActiv Retinol HA. I am embarrassed to say that I am 38 and have yet to pamper my skin, luckily I have good genes. But its time to pay attention to the biggest organ I have, my skin, I would just love to have the opportunity to try this product.

Just send in your entry e.mail as per the post instructions, Angela! Good luck!
I have been using the moisturizer and eye cream for just over a week now. The moisturizer is nice, the eyecream …great. I love everything about it. The cute little bottle it comes in and the cream itself is fantastic. I think I have noticed a difference, but really can not be sure, lol. I love the scent, and texture of the cream. Both make my skin feel great. The only thing I really do not like is the “directions” written on the box. Both products directions seemed so complicated when I first read them. The products are great. And is so easy to fit in to my routine
Thanks again for letting me try this.
Congrats to you for coming up a winner in the giveaway! And thanks so much for the feedback! The texture is lovely, yes? I understand what you mean about the instructions, though. They do seem a tad complicated; glad you’ve not let them hold you back. I think it’s a translation thing; Vichy is produced in France.
I love all of the Vichy products thus far!
There’s a lot to love. It really is a great line.
I have the product “new liftactiv retinol ha night” but there are no instructions with it. How do I use this product?
Hi Marcella,
I think there were instructions in the lid or interior of the box on how to dispense the product (push the tip to one side) and, for the eye cream (how to use the rounded part of the applicator to tap the cream gently around the eye area). I had to be careful when dispensing the moisturizer; it goes on so well that I always needed less than came out. Lovely texture!
Other than that, no other instructions necessary. Apply on cleansed skin, really, but you probably already know that. *grin*
I LOVED MY LIFTATIV RETINOL HA > I HAVE 60YEARS OLD BUT MY SKIN ITS YOUNGER
MARY
Amazing, Mary! Thanks so much for your happy feedback!
