Two words: free shipping. Clever young Well.ca is the largest Canadian non-prescription online drugstore. Along with drugstore standards from vitamins to makeup to over-the-counter meds, available skincare lines include Cliniderm (for sensitive skin), Juice Beauty, Kiss My Face, Derma E, Burts Bees, and Green Beaver (Holly, they carry For My Sister Deodorant — see comments below!). And the company ships free within Canada.

I’m Alex, the Community Director for Well.ca. Thanks so much for writing about Well.ca, Janine. :)
I’ve gone ahead and added the Green Beaver For My Sister Deodorant, which you can find here: http://well.ca/products/green-beaver-for-my-sister-natural_10188.html
If anyone is looking for a product that they can’t find on our site please feel free to e-mail me (alex@well.ca). We’re always happy to add more products!
Alex, that’s fantastic, thank so much! My pleasure — I love a success story, a Canadian one at that.
It’s about time we had something like this–Shoppers has really missed the boat by not having on-line shopping as part of their site.
I have never understood why Shoppers hasn’t added the e-commerce element. London Drugs does it! Even stores like Canadian Tire and HBC have had online shopping sites for ages. Oh well… *grin*
Isn’t free shipping a great thing :)
Certainly inspires shopping. I’m impressed with the skincare lines, clearly — makes me want to order stuff. Sheesh!
ohhh. so excited.
A girl could get into such trouble here. Silly, silly Shoppers Drug Mart! (Not to offend, SDM, but really!)
This is a great website and who can argue with free shipping! Hopefully this site will be helpful in finding items that are out-of-stock in stores. Thanks Janine!
It’s great, isn’t it Naveen? In chat with Alex of Well.ca, I found out why Shoppers has been slow to get on the e-commerce train — franchise. I don’t think I knew Shoppers was a franchise op. An online arm would be direct competitition for all of them, which would kinda suck. On the other hand, it’s great for entreprenurial types because it leaves a nice niche to be maximized — go Well.ca! They like product suggestions, by the way :-)
