Hair Hair: Spring Up-do Trends with ElleCanada.com Video

I do so like getting to work with my friends. Here with me is the delightfully engaging Lara Ceroni, online editor for ElleCanada.com. Last week she shot a series of three how-to Spring hairstyle segments with Justin German, hair stylist and co-owner of Shagg Salon in Toronto’s Yorkville area. I got to play makeup a little (a natural look with Prescriptives’ Spring shades) on Lara’s great face, but the real focus is on Justin’s easy demonstrations of runway-inspired ’dos you really can do yourself. Here, take a look.

Now please excuse me while I grow my hair so I can try my favourite style, the “Pretty Punk” updo.

P.S. I know my hair is frizzy here, and it troubles me. I was trying a leave-in, but have finally conceded that I need more frizz control than any mere leave-in conditioner can handle on its own.

I get frizzies too! I just posted a few winter faves on my blog & there are a couple of hair products I think you’ll like. Also, Avon has a great anti-frizz serum. Otherwise, you skin is gorgeous & glowy. Do share your secret:)

Ooh, I’ll go look! I may give serums a go again, but the thing is, I need a little curl assistance, stuff that has a bit of hold. A/G re:coil works brilliantly for me, but I’ve run out and not replacing it is the only way I’ll try other stuff! (Have to post on AG — so many beauty loves, so little time.)

Thanks re: skin :-) Have been getting more sleep (crucial), drinking a little more water (crucial), supplementing with Genuine Health Healthy Skin with greens+ (obsessed), exfoliating with Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant (obsessed), toning with Neostrata 8% Glycolic Acid Toner (crucial), and moisturizing lately with Estée Lauder Time Zone (very nice). I think in this photo I’m wearing a dusting of Cargo blu_ray pressed powder (touched up with a little MAC Blot Powder because I’m an oily girl), and Cargo blu_ray blush/highlighter.

Good heavens, that’s sharing, isn’t it? *grin*

Did you try the Dove Leave-In? Huh? Huh? Remember how I said it done de-frizzed MY disobediently rambunctious hairs? Remember how I said it’s magical? I wouldn’t lie about something that serious. Not ever.

Hi Janine, Thanks for sharing! Dermalogica & Neostrata do have some amazing products! Right now I’m trying out a cleanser from Etsy.com, but eventually I’ll return to my beloved Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel. Must look into that toner & exfoliator:)
Thanks for the “sharing”, that’s what beauty junkies are for:)

Daily Microfoliant is my fave, fave, fave. My skin likes a few others I’ve tried along the way, but adores Daily M.

I heart Special Cleansing Gel, too, but I’m all out. Have another line on deck to try first, so it’ll be a while before I’m reunited with my face-wash love!
