I’m just gonna go through the list of what Live Clean’s expanded collection of body care and hair styling stuff does not contain: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Diethanolamine, parabens, phthalates, animal or animal by-products, and phosphates.
What, you need more reasons to give the Live Clean line extensions a try? You’re getting that they’re botanically-based formulas, right? How ’bout the easily recyclable packaging? It’s straight up plastic, the most easily recycled form. And what about the smaller enviro-footprint for Canadians? Live Clean is made in Canada, with ingredients from local suppliers. Oh, price? You’re worried about price? Okay, will $6.99 CAN each work for ya? Each of the hair products, from shampoo (read about the Fresh Water Moisturizing duo here) to firm-hold styling spray, as well as each body wash, retails for $6.99. The liquid hand soaps are $4.99.
Geez, now you want to know how good this stuff is? Well you’ll have to work for that, my friends. If you live in Canada (I’m sorry again, international readers) please become a subscriber here then send a “LIVE CLEAN” e.mail to imabeautygeek@gmail.com for a chance to win. If you’re already a subscriber who lives in Canada, all you need to do is send that LIVE CLEAN e.mail to enter. Last day is Sunday February 8th, 2009.
I suppose now you want to know what you might win. S’ok, I don’t mind sharing: Two Live Clean body washes, two Live Clean liquid hand soaps, a strong-hold styling gel, a light yet firm-hold styling mousse, a firm hold styling spray, and Pink Fire Colour Protect shampoo and conditioner. You’re looking at a Live Clean haul of almost $60 CAN.
Kinda neat to get green without spending green, huh?
Live Green styling products are available across Canada at Shoppers Drug Mart; hand soaps are available at Loblaws; body washes are at Loblaws, Walmart, PharmaSave and Proxim; and shampoos and conditioners are at Well.ca (free shipping in Canada), Shoppers, Zellers, Loblaws, Walmart, London Drugs, PharmaPlus, PharmaSave, Proxim, Sobey’s (Atlantic & Western provinces) Uniprix, Lawtons, Jean Coutu and Overwaitea. Good day, I would like to enter the contest? How can I?
Secondo, it on the back of the body wash Live Clean it is writen there is no sulfate when I can still read the ingredients such as: disodium sulfolaurate, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate, Glycol… and so on which are not too good for the body”! WHY?!
Hi Dominique,
Thanks for asking about entering the contest, but I’m sorry to say the deadline to enter was back in February.
As to the list of ingredients, apparently sodium lauryl sulfoacetate is a surfactant derived from coconut and palm oils, and an alternative to the standard harsher sulfates. I’m not certain about disodium sulfolaurate or glycol, but I can find out. I suspect they’re part of the make-it-sudsy segment of the product recipe, but I’m just guessing.
