One of the things I love about my clever friend Liza Herz is her ability to put things into context. A former film publicist turned freelance writer, she gives her subjects an easy framework to which readers can relate. She’s a sponge for information, believes beauty stuff should spark excitement, knows the best places to shop in Paris and New York, and can spot understated quality luxury accessories at a glance. And like me she’s a geek for odd details, like a subtle redesign of the handles on her favourite Williams Sonoma cookware.
I haven’t yet read The One Hundred: A Guide to the Pieces Every Stylish Woman Must Own by Nina Garcia, but Liza (pronounced Leeza) has. You’ll find her take — in context — on Canada.com.
