Yup, it's "hump day," that mid-week point we have to get over before we slide into the weekend. I'd like hump day to mean something else for little ol' me, but Clive-O's all busy-like today. Hmmm. I need alternatives. Daniel Craig, who's looking very oh-MY in the Quantum of Solace Bond trailers? Christian Bale, who, following American Psycho, should have done all his subsequent movies in the buff? (When my poor Dad reads this, he's so gonna wince. A lot. *grin*)

Sorry, got a little distracted there. Where were we? Right. Free stuff! On account it's Wednesday!

ENTER TO WIN one of eight brightly coloured cylindrical fabric zippered makeup cases containing:
~ Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara, which gives my wee sparse lashes all-day drama.
~ from Cover Girl's summer collection, an Eye Enhancers trio of shadows in Blazing Blues, which features a blue, yellow and green similar to the blue, yellow and green shades in this post's image. Don't be afraid! They're quite subtle applied with a fluffy eye shadow brush for a subtle, sheer wash of colour (completely suitable for more conservative types -- you know who you are), and great fun if applied with a damp applicator for a bolder finish (awesome for folks who love colour).
~ Cover Girl Wetslicks AmazeMint lipgloss in Toast-ed, which is deliciously minty and goes on like a sheer, rich caramel that flatters every skin tone.
~ Two save-a-buck coupons toward your next purchase of Cover Girl eye shadow or Wetslicks gloss.

The total value of this little giftie is about $25. So hit that subscribe-in-a-reader thingie on the top right of the screen, subscribe, then send off an e.mail to imabeautygeek@gmail.com to tell me you've signed up, and you'll be eligible to win. If you're already a subscriber, of course you can enter; just e.mail imabeautygeek@gmail.com to say hi. Eight names will be drawn at random on Wednesday August 6th.

And the made-in-Canada connection? Big-time celebrity makeup artist Paul Venoit, who is the Canadian spokesperson for Cover Girl. Venoit is enthusiastic about the energetic hues of the entire Cover Girl summer collection. "Let's face it, they're a lot of fun," he said in a recent press briefing. "Apply the shadow so it's intense at the lash line, and blend it up over the lid so it fades at the crease. When you blink, or wink, you'll give people an unexpected, playful glimpse of colour."

Playful? That'll get us through the rest of the week in a snap!

Cover Girl is available at drugstores and mass market retailers.
