There are ways to put the prettiest flush in your cheeks and there are ways to put the prettiest flush in your cheeks. I choose Benefit Posietint. It’s that good.
Enough said if you’re a Benetint fan. But if the term “cheek stain” makes you twitch or back away, would it help if I said the colour and texture would make you look younger?
Let’s pause for a TIP: Cheek stain can sound scary, particularly if you have dry skin. “Work quickly,” we’re told. But you don’t have to break the sound barrier to rub it in. “Work quickly” means is apply and blend on one cheek, then apply and blend on the other. If your skin’s dry, moisturize cheeks lightly before hitting the bottle.
Back to Posietint (12.5 mL, $35). First, those of you unfamiliar with Benetint, don’t be alarmed at the price. You use so little each time that it’ll last forever. Second, the colour is a dream on the skin: a fresh pop of pink for almost any skintone. Even very-fair types might like to give this one a go. Third, a slightly milkier consistency than Benetint, it blends in smoothly and gives a sheer, baby-pink glow that doesn’t look like makeup at all — which of course takes years off. (At least I feel younger. And all aglow.) Fourth, it stays on all day. And fifth, a bit of Benetint on the lips makes them look charmingly bitten.
Actually, perhaps I was a mite sloppy in my research. I need to see who gives better, longer-lasting glow: Posietint or Clive Owen?
I love research!
Benefit Posietint is available at Shoppers Drug Mart Beauty Boutiques, Sephora and select Bay stores.

This is my favourite new product of the season!
I wear it on my lips– I love that it goes on sheer, and you can layer it to intensify the colour.
Now, if only people didn’t think I was putting nail polish on my lips everytime I take out the bottle…
Tried it on your cheeks, yet Jen? I’m waiting for them to come out with a Posietint Pocket Pal… next season, I’m thinking! Then no one will think you’re nail-polishing your lips.
Gave it a shot on my cheeks last night, but I somehow ended up with more on one than the other (oops), and it was a little challenging to even out. I liked the glow it gave though, so I’ll definitely practice how to apply it better!
I love cheek tints, but I just can’t get Benetint to work for me. (Even though I know everyone LOVES it.) Gave PoisyTint a shot the other day because of your rave words and now I’m in love! The colour is perfect, the application is easy. (I agree about the nail polish thing above, but I’m already over it.)
A new favourite. Thanks for the insight, BG!
GREAT find Janine! I became a Benetint convert about a year ago (though I still revert to powder once in awhile). You just can’t go wrong… unless you’re trying to pack it in your suitcase and it explodes in your bag (take note, ladies: the bottle does NOT travel well under pressure!!) But seriously, I’m so in love with the entire Benefit line, it’s worth the stain on my entire wardrobe.. ;) Now I’m off to pick up Posietint…
I hope now you’re travelling with the Benefit Pocket Pal in your carry-on instead! $20 USd, $25 CAN. You’ll love Posietint — it’s a softer, sweeter version. No pocket pal for that one yet, but something to look forward to… :-)
I keep hearing/reading about this product…must get down to Sephora on Bloor Street and check it out!
It’s SO good! Really! Let me know what you think, okay? Benefit is also available at The Bay, by the way.
Hey Janine,
I finally bought Posietint and you’re definitely one of the persons to blame for it! =P
I’m happy to share that blame!
Hi there all
I’ve just discovered Benetint and Posie Tint….. But even better, I discovered that if your Benetint Pocket Pal get’s to empty, refill it with Posie Tint if that is your preferred choice of colour!! I mixed the colours a bit as well and it is actually very nice. Well, I hope I solved some of your girls’ problems whilst waiting for Posie Tint to come out in the handy Pocket Pal:)))
Cecilia, that’s brilliant in so many ways! Thanks for the tip and for the comment!
